Day 2

I'm not really sure if much progress was made today. Luke still isn't telling me when he needs to go potty. I have to prompt him regularly. And I'm just not willing to ask him if he wants to go potty every 20 minutes for weeks on end! I have one or two other things to do. I guess I'll see how things go and maybe by Monday if he still needs me to direct him constantly, then I'll just put him back in diapers and try again after he's three and my husband is back. Maybe I'll just go to Barnes and Noble and buy the potty training books one of you mentioned in the prvious posts.

That can be dangerous, though.

The only Starbucks in town is in Barnes and Noble, and somehow even when I swear I'm only going in for one book, I come out with 3-5 and we all get snacks and drinks.

And I get a really big coffee.

It has some sort of secret suck-you-in power.

Kind of like Target.

Well, I have nothing to offer in the way of advice as we are going to try the "self-train" approach. We don't even have a potty chair! I do look forward to hearing more from you and what you ultimately decide to do . . .

Sadly, I can so identify with your B&N 'problem'... It happened to me again yesterday at Target- I went in to buy one toothbrush and we came out with two bags full of stuff (of course it was all stuff we "needed"!).

Have a great weekend and thanks for stopping by my blog as well!

Ah, the Target syndrome. I have it too. It's just that kind of place where you feel drawn to things you never thought you needed. It's the clean aisle's and the red clearance stickers on the end caps. It's the very cute clothes and the great deals. Some big wig in Target really knows how to work the subliminal message thing. LOL.

Hey, if the B&N thing is only one of a few vices.. that's ok. My DH says he rather be spending money on silly things that make me happy than gambling it all away... LOL.

Have a great weekend. And don't worry about the potty thing. He'll catch on soon. I think it's one of those funny things God uses in our life to 1. give God a good laugh and 2. shape us into the good mommy He desires for us to be.

Your doing great!!

Oh man, I so know what you mean about Target and B&N and Starbucks. I think it's the fact that you know whatever you walk away with, you'll be completely happy and satisfied always wanting more :) That's my theory.

I love B&N and Target! There must be something piped into the air condition that just doesnt let you leave until youve spent all you can!
