The Big Bloggy Move

We here at the After a Cup of Coffee...or Two cafe are moving.

Truthfully, I'm tired of Blogger's new comment policy.

And I know Megan, over at SortaCrunchy is, too.

Anyone else tired of Blogger? Or just ready to move to a new host? Or just ready to redesign your blog? Ready to start a blog for the first time?

Then you'll want to check back here or at SortaCrunchy on Wednesday, December 19th for details on The Big Bloggy Move.

Get your move on, ya'll.

And spread the word.

I'm not familiar with the new comment policy....hmmm...maybe I need to check on that!

Yes, the fact that I cannot sign in without a Blogger account is highly annoying. I do have one, but it is a personal blog. And it seems a little odd to leave that link on some of the sites I comment on. And it seems spammy to always leave my link in the comment box, even though I always like to know where my commenters come from, even if it means they leave the link in the comment since Blogger is too annoying to stick with something that worked.

Anyway, self-hosting is cool. And I've heard good things about homeschooljournal.net.

And here's my link. So you know who I am:

I, as a wordpress blogger, am also unhappy with the new policy! It makes it a real pain for me to comment on people's blogs! So I'm happy that you and Megan are planning a move! I use Wordpress and like it so far...but I haven't don't too much with my blog yet other than standard posts. Happy Moving though!

I've been using Wordpress.com for the past year, and I've liked it. But, I've started to feel really limited by it (because it's the free version). Like I can't have ads, I can't use my own blog design and have to use one of their 20 choices, etc. I'm just ready to have a domain of my own!

So...I'm moving to! For Christmas my present is my own website so that's what I will be doing the next few weeks :-) I'm so excited. Since it's a present I don't have my information yet and who the host will be yet but it will be up in the next week or two. I look forward seeing your new blog!

And congrats on your husband finally being home :-) I'm so happy for you and your family that he's home SAFE!
