The power of the will

I made some chocolate chip cookies for the family last night. The kind that you actually mix together in a bowl, not the kind you take out of the package.

And I was really, really tempted to grab a spoon and sit down in front of a movie and eat the cookie dough right out of the bowl.

But I fought the temptation, and I was victorious.

I ate it with my fingers, standing up in the kitchen instead.

ROTFL -- I love it!

Just last night my hubby got some chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream. Ice cream is my TOTAL weakness. I told him to NOT buy any more of 'my' ice cream (cookies and cream) and also to NEVER ask me if I want some when he gets ice cream for himself. Well, last night he was sitting on the couch eating his yummy sinful ice cream and saved a few bites for me filled with the chocolate chip cookie dough. What a great guy. Hey, 3 bites is better than eating a whole bowl, right? lol

Oooh, chocolate chip cookie dough sounds SO goo dright now. I would have "forgotten" to bake them, grabbed a spoon, and headed for the couch. Major willpower you got goin' on.

My husband actually makes cookie dough just to eat as dough. He will store it in the refrigerator and eat it for days. Actually, it sometimes only takes a day.

Oh goodness, Tiffany, I would be 300 pounds! How do you resist sharing it with him?

Oh, yum...cookie dough! I can never resist...which is why I don't make cookies very often!

I cannot...cannot...cannot bake or cook anything without picking at it. Usually when I sit down for supper I'm already full. so sad...so sad.

HA HA HA! I am a sucker for cookie dough.

And brownie batter.

And cake batter.

And biscuit mix, now that i think about it.

It's a wonder anything ever makes it to the oven around here!

Makes me want to make cookies...

MMM...nothing beats chocolate chip cookie dough except maybe, just maybe, cookies fresh out of the oven a minute or two undercooked with Bluebell vanilla ice cream. And even that is a big maybe.

Yes.

That's the only way to eat something while still claiming to have willpower... standing up in the kitchen. It doesn't count unless you're sitting, right? :)
