I ask out of curiosity...

If you inherited some money, a nice chunk of it, and you had no monetary responsibilities, what would you do with it?

We did inherit some recently, and since we do have responsibilities, we are paying off our debt. Most of it is student loans, but there's some credit card debt. It will be the first time in seven years of marriage that we aren't living under a cloud of college debt.

If we didn't have that, then I'd probably want to set the money aside for possibly adopting a child from another country in a couple years.

But if I'm just dreaming?

Well, I'd pay to have "the girls" lifted back to where God originally placed them. Because they are on a slippery slope downwards, my friends.

And I might just toss a little tummy tuck in there, too, to finally get rid of that persistent little pooch.

So now I've exposed my inner shallowness...what would you do?

We recently inherited some money as well. If left to me we would move to Africa and work with orphans for a couple of years... Hubby has some crazy idea about sending kids to college or retiring someday tho'- so it's all invested instead...

But the answer would definately be travel!

I would probably buy a new house with real closet space and a pantry. Add to that maid service for life, and I am set!

Oooh. Your idea was good. I'm thinking travel as well. I wanna go places!! It seems like I used to do that sometimes...but now, all these kids get in the way! :P

oh, I think I'd be doing the tummy tuck thing, and buying us a nice new camper to replace our tiny one!

I would pay off the mortgage...and yes my friend..I want the boob lift. I call them 'empty socks' when I lean over. To be honest I really would do it for my husband. After all....my marriage is important and he deserves it too ;)

There is nothing better for a marriage than self confidence when ummmm...leaning over ;)

hmmm...good furniture? a house? paying off debts? investing for college? Oh, no need for that...the great grandparents are taking care of that... No surgery, unless hubby's willing to have a reversal done... Oh, I know...the honeymoon we never got to have!! Europe, here we come!!

Definitely a new house. And maybe some set aside for a "mommy makeover" when we're done procreating. :-)

Alyson, leaning over? Is that what we're calling it now? :) I really would do it, too! But by the time I'd paid for everything else (and know for sure we're done procreating, Jeni!) I feel is more important, we'd never have the money.

Tiffany, I love the maid idea! And maybe a massuese once a week for life!

O.K. part selfish and part selfless. I would give money to my church and some mission. Then if the kids needed college money which they will that would next. Selfishly I would love a 4x4 4 door pickup with a big engine in it for my husband, a big old 5th wheel to go behind it, then a nice little cottage on a good fishing lake we could retire too.

LOL. I'd LOVE to have a tummy tuck. I know I never will, b/c I'm too scared to have surgery, and the money could be spent elsewhere. But still, I dream...

Seriously, we'd build a deck and patio if we came into money. B/c right now our tiny deck has no stairs to the back yard. And our sliders down below open onto grass. Someday we want to do a big deck/patio project, but we need a big inheritance if that's gonna happen.

Very funny! When I was preggers a good teacher friend of mine warned me that "the girls" turn into lower case j's after having babies....and boy was she right. Especially after all that nursing:)
